Great watch for me- just some minor things
Let me start by saying I really love this particular watch- The size, 43mm suits my wrist a lot better than the 40mm models. and it just exudes ruggedness and quality. I also love Ball’s version of DLC, the Titanium Carbide coating. And the tritium arry on this on is very cool. My only niggle is the strap and the changing thereof. First of all, the supplied leather strap is nothing special- very stiff lesther and what’s that polished SS buckle doing on a black cased watch? Ball, you should by now have a DLC version of said buckle for models like this. And 21mm? Really? I know companies like IWC and Rolex use a 21mm distance on some of their models, but on a 43mm case, 22 would make more sense and certainly increase the options of strap replacement. The only other thing I need to mention is that the lug holes are VERY close to the body so not all straps are going to work. In fact, the FKM 21mm strap I was looking to put on is too thick to consider. I found a very nice quality soft 22 high quality leather strap with much more character than the supplied one and mounted it with the help of my tea kettle, and a black PVD buckle and I’m happy with this now. So I won’t be changing straps on this one on s regular basis, but that’s ok. Here is a photo with the replacement strap:
