The Baume & Mercier Clifton M0A10839 puts a COSC-certified Baumatic manufacture movement behind a black dial in a 40 mm steel case.
Certification by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute is the headline, but the calibre also resists everyday magnetic fields to 1500 Gauss, the kind of robustness a dress watch rarely advertises. A sapphire crystal case back secured by screws leaves the movement visible, synthetic sapphire protects the dial, and a quick-release black leather strap keeps the look sober. Water resistant to 50 metres, this men's watch is precision wrapped in restraint.
